The Great Barrier Reef contains around 3,000 coral reefs along over 2,000 kilometres of Queensland’s coastline – and monitoring the condition of these corals is a massive collaborative effort.
From annual monitoring with ports industry partners to Traditional Owners surveying their Sea Country with the Great Reef Census, the unique perspectives of many coral monitoring programs together create a more complete picture of how reef health may be changing.
Join us for a conversation with Dr Avril Ayling from Sea Research, Helen Tait from Gunggandji-Mandingalbay Yidinji Peoples PBC, and TropWATER’s Dr Katie Chartrand about their diverse coral monitoring experiences and a shared passion for conserving the Great Barrier Reef.
