Simon Macdonald

Research Scientist

Simon is currently employed as a Research Officer with the Marine Geophysics Laboratory, College of Science and Engineering, James Cook University.

Throughout the past five years in this position, he has developed many skills in the lab environment and in the research and development of the Marotte HS current meter. He also oversees and implements assembly and ongoing maintenance/calibration and quality assurance of nephelometers. Furthermore, he is the senior field operator in the NQBP water quality monitoring program, overseeing the complete running of all field activities from water quality to data retrieval, running in conjunction with TropWATER .
