Senior Research Scientist - Freshwater Ecology
Cassie completed a BSc in Plant Biology at the University of Wales, Bangor. She then moved on to Liverpool University where she completed a PhD in 1999. Her PhD research investigated the dynamics of invasive aquatic plants. She has particular research interests in the vegetation dynamics of riparian, floodplain and wetland ecosystems and has worked extensively on vegetation of dryland catchments of inland Australia and, more recently, subtropical rivers of south east Queensland.
