Zoe Bainbridge

Research Fellow - Catchment to Reef Processes
PhD, James Cook University, Australia, 2015; B.App.Sc. (Hons), James Cook University, Australia, 2004

Zoe’s research interests are broadly focused on water quality across the catchment to reef continuum. Her PhD research examined sediment transport processes across a large Great Barrier Reef GBR river catchment, as well as the transformation and dispersal of these sediments within adjacent coastal waters. Zoe’s Advance Queensland Research Fellowship builds on this research to characterise and trace the origin(s) of fine sediments that pose the greatest ecological risk to Great Barrier Reef coral reef and seagrass ecosystems.
