Tim Smith
Tim is a marine ecologist with a background in seagrass and fisheries ecology. Tim completed his PhD at the University of Melbourne in 2010 on the effects of seagrass landscape on fish assemblages and maintained a broad interest in seagrass habitats. His research has focused on seagrass resilience, fisheries contribution, connectivity and the effects of climate change. More recently Tim has undertaken projects focused on improving fisheries and aquaculture practices to improve efficiency and reduce bycatch. Tim has undertaken research at a variety of institutes across the world including Chile, Spain and France and worked in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.
