Senior Research Scientist - Seagrass Ecology

Skye completed a Bachelor of Science and gained an Honours degree in the field of Marine Biology and Zoology at James Cook University. Her Honours research investigated fouling organisms, specifically the Asian Green Mussel. This led to a job with the Queensland Government and their marine pest program, before moving to the Marine Ecology Group to focus on seagrass monitoring across the state. Skye has worked with the seagrass research group for the past eleven years on various research and monitoring projects mainly focusing on tropical seagrasses at risk from anthropogenic activities associated with coastal development.
