Madeline McKenzie gained her Masters of Science focusing in Marine Biology and Ecology from James Cook University in December of 2017.  Since then, she has been working as a research worker at TropWATER, as part of the Tropical Water Quality Hub (TWQ Hub) looking at the ecotoxicology of pesticides on the Great Barrier Reef for guideline development and risk assessments.  Her work focuses on investigating the effects of priority herbicides on freshwater aquatic species.
