Luke grew up in Brisbane and moved to Cairns in 2015 where he completed his undergraduate degree in Ecology and Zoology at JCU. He is currently doing his Honours in Marine Biology with Associate Professor Will Edwards, Dr Michael Rasheed and Dr Paul York looking at the maintenance function performed by marine invertebrates in seagrass systems. He has a broad interest in marine ecosystems and how they function, particularly food webs and the mechanisms that drive them.
