Jasmina Uusitalo
Casual Research Worker
Following a BSc in Hydrobiology, Jasmina completed her MSc in Marine Biology with the University of Helsinki in 2011 researching short term effects nutrient loading via cormorant colonies had on local macro-algae and fauna. She then moved to Australia with an interest in tropical marine ecosystems, and has since enjoyed working amongst the waters of far North Queensland with some involvement in citizen science programs. She joined TropWATER in 2017 and is currently involved in the monitoring of intertidal and subtidal seagrass meadows within the Marine Monitoring Program. Her work involves a combination of field and lab work.
