Carissa Reason
Research Officer
Carissa completed a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Zoology at James Cook University in 2005. Since then she worked as a Fisheries Biologist with the Queensland Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry and is currently employed as a Research Officer with TropWATER. Her current role focusses on the ecology of tropical marine habitats, specifically seagrass meadows and their importance to the marine ecosystem. Carissa manages and contributes to several state-wide research, monitoring and assessment programs and enjoys getting into the field, especially when a helicopter is involved.
